Deanna Weinholtz is a watermedia artist from Western New York, best known for her luminous landscapes, seascapes, and abstracts created in watercolor and acrylics. Her work, which captures the essence of nature with a vibrant and ethereal touch, has earned national and regional awards, gracing the walls of numerous exhibitions and galleries. Beyond the public eye, Deanna's creations are cherished in private collections across the country, resonating deeply with art enthusiasts.

Deanna's inspiration often stems from her travels throughout the United States, Canada, and Italy. One of her favorite subjects is the Kawartha Lakes in Canada, a place of personal significance where she spent many summers at her family's resort overlooking the lake. These experiences have infused her work with the beauty of spectacular sunsets and the allure of the Northern Lights, which frequently appear in her paintings. Deanna's art encompasses entire landscapes and seascapes, as well as close-up views of nature, abstracted to invite viewers to craft their own stories.

With a foundation in design from the State University College at Buffalo, Deanna began her artistic career as a graphic designer. After stepping away to nuture her family, she explored various artistic avenues, including designing and creating wedding and couture gowns, blending her eye for beauty with fabric and form. Ultimately, her enduring passion for painting and drawing drew her back to the world of fine art, where she has established herself as a full-time professional artist. 

Deanna's dedication to art extends beyond her studio. She teaches her love of painting both online and in classrooms, sharing her expertise and passion with adult students. Her commitment to the art community is exemplified by her active involvement in esteemed art societies. She is a Signature Member of the Niagara Frontier Watercolor Society, where she has served as Exhibitions Co-Chair and a member of the Board of Directors. Additionally, Deanna is a Juried Exhibiting Member of the Buffalo Society of Artists, having held roles of Exhibition Chair and Membership Chair, along with her service on the Board of Directors. Her artistry is also recognized by the Pittsburgh Watercolor Society, where she is a Juried Exhibiting Member, and the Philadelphia Watercolor Society as an Associate Member.
